Let’s start with all the juicy details.

father – foodie – music lover – worker – wine – campfires – creativity – adventure – festivals – Ella Fitzgerald – Swimming Paul – Nico Morano – sausages – Ottolenghi – friluftsliv – travel

I’m a father, a creative, and a restless soul with a love for good food, great music, and life in all its flavours. You’ll find me just as easily behind a campfire with sausages, an Italian piece of ham and a glass of red wine as in the kitchen cooking Ottolenghi-style feasts for friends. Music fuels everything — from Ella Fitzgerald’s timeless sound to the energy of live festivals and good indie music.

I work hard, driven by curiosity and a hunger for connection, but I always carve out space for adventure and friluftsliv: that raw, simple joy of being outside, being in another country. I believe in slowing down to savour things — a well-cooked meal, the rhythm of a record, cuddling with my kids. It’s not about perfection, but presence.

If you love different kinds of music and can enjoy a glass of wine, open doors and cooking, maybe you can stop everything what you are doing, start enjoying and play this list of mine while doing all that:

MY ORIGIN STORY BEGINS HERE

Born in Leuven — the city of Stella, student bars and late-night debates on the Old Market. I studied, partied, and started working as a teacher. Restless by nature, I also picked up gigs in events, always chasing new experiences and stories.
While traveling through Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, Malaysia and Sweden, I picked up a camera. That first spark quickly became a fire. I enrolled in photography school and committed fully: learning to master my camera, lighting, studio setups, and working with people. I loved it — but something still felt off. I was missing depth, connection, meaning. I needed my pictures to mean MORE and connect better.

2018

Then came 2018 — the year everything shifted.
I joined a workshop called Mind the Moment, and in just a few days I learned more about light, timing, intuition and storytelling than I had in years. It cracked something open. I began chasing not just good images, but honest moments. From that point on, I worked harder than ever — shadowing some of the best photographers, investing in my growth, shooting, failing, learning, improving.
It wasn’t just about photography anymore. It became about seeing.
And that’s when it all started to click.

I TOOK THE NEXT STEP

After learning from several experienced photographers and joining them on shoots, I grew a lot. Then COVID hit and everything slowed down. Weddings and events paused, but I cherished the time with my family—the quiet moments, the intimacy. I kept shooting, focusing on my own loved ones, capturing real, meaningful moments. It showed me that being a great photographer isn’t just about technique, but about truly seeing and feeling the story behind every image.

THIS IS WHERE I AM

Now, after 10 years behind the camera — and 6 years capturing weddings — I’ve taken the leap. In 2024, I left my job in education and went full-time as a photographer. No safety net, no plan B. Just trust, focus, and a fire that wouldn’t go out. Since then, I haven’t looked back.
I’ve travelled with fellow photographers to places like Málaga, France, and Croatia. Oh, and I once shot the Pope—don’t worry, just with my camera! I had the rare chance to photograph Pope Francis up close. One of those surreal moments where you realise how wild this photography journey can be. I’ve expanded my work beyond weddings, diving into corporate photography and rediscovering my love for interior and architectural spaces.
This is where I’m meant to be — telling real stories, with real people, in real light. Telling your story!

“Capturing connection one moment at a time.”
